# Starlink installation in Eastleigh

> Covering Eastleigh, Whiteley and Chandler's Ford · Trading since 2009 · Call 07366 896562 · Starlink installation by MCI Electrical in Eastleigh and…

MCI Electrical fits Starlink dishes and indoor kits for homes and workplaces across Eastleigh, Chandler's Ford, Hedge End, Botley, Whiteley, Segensworth and Southampton. MCI Electrical quotes the mount, runs the power and leaves the dish ready to pair.

## Starlink installation cost

A domestic Starlink installation starts at £350 and a commercial installation starts at £550. Those starting prices buy the mount, the cable run and the power feed for the kit you have already ordered.
- Starlink installation — domestic: from £350
- Starlink installation — commercial: from £550
- Domestic Starlink installation from £350 covers a standard house wall or roof mount, one cable entry and the indoor power point for the router.
- Commercial Starlink installation from £550 covers a shop, office, yard or depot mount, including a longer outdoor cable run on a typical Hampshire building.
- Tall poles, metal roofs, listed brickwork and extra indoor points are priced after we see the building.

## Starlink installation for homes and workplaces

People book this work when fibre is slow, absent or too costly to bring in. We fit the dish, the cable and the power in Eastleigh, Chandler's Ford, Hedge End, Botley, Whiteley, Segensworth and Southampton.
- **Houses off a decent fibre line:** Owners in Eastleigh, Chandler's Ford and Botley often want Starlink because the street cabinet is full or the copper line still crawls. We mount the dish where the sky is open and bring power to the indoor kit.
- **Shops, yards and dockside offices:** Workplaces in Hedge End, Whiteley, Segensworth and the Southampton docks use Starlink as a main line or a backup when the fibre contractor cannot give a date. We treat the dish as outdoor plant and keep indoor cabling tidy.
- **Landlords waiting on a tenant broadband date:** A landlord with an empty house or a short let books a dish so the next occupant has internet on day one. We work around existing sockets and leave a neat indoor finish.
- **Depots that need a working link this week:** A fleet yard or warehouse that cannot wait for a new fibre trench uses Starlink for booking systems, cameras and radios. We size the mount for wind on Hampshire industrial roofs.

## What the installation covers

The visit is the dish mount, the outdoor cable, the indoor power and the first power up of the kit you already own.

### Included when agreed
- A walk of the roof, wall or yard to pick a clear southern sky view and a safe cable path
- Fixing the Starlink dish on a wall, roof, pole or plant room, using fixings suited to brick, tile or cladding
- One weatherproof cable entry and the indoor run to the router location you choose
- A dedicated socket or fused spur for the power supply, tested as part of the electrical work
- Powering the kit and checking the dish can see the sky before we leave

### Not included automatically
- The Starlink dish, router, stand and monthly airtime, which you order from Starlink
- Roof tiling, fascia repairs or making good beyond the mount and the cable hole
- Account setup, app pairing and any Starlink engineer visit after the electrical work is finished

## What happens on the day

MCI Electrical manages the job from the agreed quote through to installation and testing. The sequence is adapted for a house in Eastleigh or a depot in Southampton.
1. **Arrival and sky check:** We confirm access, look at trees, neighbouring roofs and dock cranes that could block the dish, then mark the mount and the indoor kit position with you.
2. **Mount, cable and power:** We fix the dish, run the outdoor cable, form a weatherproof entry and fit the indoor power. Drill dust is cleared and the cable is clipped so it does not rattle in the wind.
3. **Power up and paperwork:** We energise the supply, watch the dish hunt for satellites, and leave any electrical certificate the work needs. Pairing the app to your Starlink account stays with you.

## What you get after Starlink fitting

You are left with a mounted dish, a live power feed and the indoor kit in the room you chose.
- **Define the proposal:** You receive a written price for the mount, cable and power before any drill goes into the wall, with domestic work from £350 and commercial work from £550.
- **Starlink account stays yours:** The Starlink kit and the monthly airtime stay on your Starlink account. Our work is the building side only, so a change of dish model does not mix with the electrical invoice.
- **Match any requested record:** If a landlord, facilities manager or insurer asks for a photo of the mount, a note of the circuit used or a copy of the test sheet, we issue that record against the job.
- **Electrical record where needed:** Where the new spur or outdoor circuit is notifiable or needs a test sheet, we complete it as NICEIC work and leave you the certificate with the rest of the job notes.

## Starlink installation questions

These are the Starlink questions we are asked most around Eastleigh and Southampton.

### How much does Starlink installation cost?

Domestic Starlink installation starts at £350. Commercial Starlink installation starts at £550. Poles, long runs and extra indoor points are added after we see the building.

### Do you supply the Starlink dish?

No. You order the kit from Starlink and we fit what arrives. That keeps the warranty and the airtime on your account.

### Can you fit Starlink on a commercial roof?

Yes. We mount dishes on shops, offices, yards and dock buildings in Hedge End, Whiteley, Segensworth and Southampton, using fixings suited to the roof covering.

### Will I get an electrical certificate?

You get one when the new power circuit or spur needs it. NICEIC paperwork covers that part. Dish pairing and speed tests sit with Starlink.

### Can I book an evening or weekend visit?

You can call at any hour. Booked fitting follows the opening hours already listed for MCI Electrical.

## Starlink kit and setup

Order the kit first, then book the fitting once the box has a delivery date.
