What happens on the day
MCI Electrical manages the CCTV work from the site survey through to installation, setup and handover.

Arrival and camera positions
We meet you on site, walk the shop, yard or office and mark each camera so doorways, tills and bays are covered without pointing at neighbouring homes.

Fixing cameras and cabling
We mount the cameras, run the cable to the recorder and keep the install tidy through ceilings, trunking or external walls as the building allows.

Recorder on and views checked
We power the recorder, check every picture, set the time and show you how to find a clip. You keep the login details when we leave.
How this is priced
The starting price of £1,450 buys a CCTV installation with cameras, cabling and a recorder for a small shop or yard. A larger site, extra cameras or night coverage is quoted in writing before we start.
- £1,450 is a starting price, not a fixed figure for every building.
- Camera count, cable length and recorder type are set on the written quote.
- We take calls any time. Booked work is during our usual hours.
- Fixed wire testing is priced on the number of boards and circuits, not by the hour.
- Emergency lighting is priced per light, and the three hour test is priced separately.
- Repairs are priced item by item off the report, so you choose what to do and when.
- Work outside your trading hours costs a different rate, and I tell you what it is before I set off.
- Quotes are free, rescheduling is free, and there is no callout fee.
What you get after CCTV is fitted
You are left with working cameras, a recorder on your premises and a written price you already had before the visit.
- Define the proposal
- Before we drill, you get a written quote that names camera count, positions, cable runs and the recorder for that shop, yard or office.
- Camera policy stays with you
- Signage, who may watch the footage and how long you keep clips sit with you as the occupier. We fit the kit. We do not set your camera policy.
- Match any requested record
- If you name a camera count, night vision, a particular recorder or coverage of a gate or till, we match that on the quote and on the finished views.
- No ongoing tie
- There is no maintenance plan. The cameras and recorder are yours when we leave. Call us later only if a camera fails or you add a view.
