What happens on the day
We work to the shopfitter's programme. You deal with us from the first visit to the certificate.

We walk the empty unit
We check the meter, the board, the ceiling void and the planned till, kitchen and lighting positions against the layout you gave us.

We run first fix then second fit
Cables and containment go in before plaster and ceilings close. Sockets, lights and the board go on once the interior is ready for finishing.

We test and leave the paperwork
We test every circuit, fill the board chart and leave the certificates with you so the unit can open.
How this is priced
The starting price of £2,400 buys first fix, second fit, the board work and testing for a typical small shop or retail unit. Larger units, kitchens, three phase supplies and extra circuits are priced after we see the drawings and the shell.
- £2,400 is a starting figure for a compact unit, not a fixed charge for every fit out.
- Signage circuits, kitchen power, three phase plant and extra lighting rows are added once the layout is known.
- We quote in writing before we book the days on site.
- Fixed wire testing is priced on the number of boards and circuits, not by the hour.
- Emergency lighting is priced per light, and the three hour test is priced separately.
- Repairs are priced item by item off the report, so you choose what to do and when.
- Work outside your trading hours costs a different rate, and I tell you what it is before I set off.
- Quotes are free, rescheduling is free, and there is no callout fee.

Can you rewire a shop that is still trading?+
Some board and lighting work can be done out of hours. A full first fix usually needs the sales floor clear. We will say which of those applies after we walk the unit.
