What happens on the day
MCI Electrical remains responsible for the work. We carry out the survey, the install and the test ourselves.

We read the current, voltage and start method on the plate, then we confirm a spare way and a clear path for the cable.

We run the circuit and fit the isolator
We pull the cable, terminate at both ends, earth the frame as required and leave a lockable isolator within reach of the operator.

We test and hand over the certificate
We test continuity, insulation and polarity, energise with you present if you want, and leave the certificate with the circuit chart.
How this is priced
A machinery and equipment power supply starts from £480. That buys a dedicated feed, an isolator and testing for one standard machine within a short run of the board.
- A long cable run, a heavy motor or a three phase load costs more than a short single phase feed.
- We quote in writing before we cut any cable.
- Out of hours work is charged as emergency callout, not as this starting price.
- Fixed wire testing is priced on the number of boards and circuits, not by the hour.
- Emergency lighting is priced per light, and the three hour test is priced separately.
- Repairs are priced item by item off the report, so you choose what to do and when.
- Work outside your trading hours costs a different rate, and I tell you what it is before I set off.
- Quotes are free, rescheduling is free, and there is no callout fee.

How much does a machinery power supply cost?+
It starts from £480 for a standard dedicated feed to one machine. Longer runs and heavier motors cost more, and we put that in the written quote.

Do I need three phase for my machine?+
Only if the nameplate says so. Many compressors and ovens run on single phase. We read the plate on site and size the supply to that, not to a guess.

Will you isolate the old feed before you start?+
Yes. We lock off the board, prove dead, then we work. Staff can keep using other circuits while that way is off.
Can you work in Eastleigh, Chandler's Ford and the docks?+
