What happens on the day
We carry out the board change in one visit where the load and isolation allow.

Arrival and isolation
We check the incoming supply, agree a shutdown window with you on site, and isolate the old board so the workplace is safe to work on.

Fit the new board
We remove the old unit, mount the new distribution board, terminate the incoming tails and land each circuit on its own device.

Test and certificate
We test the completed board, fill in the schedule of circuits and leave the certificate with you before we go.

A starting price of £950 buys a typical commercial distribution board replacement or upgrade, including isolation, the new board and a test certificate.
- Larger three phase boards, extra ways and out of hours isolation cost more than the starting figure.
- We confirm the written price after we have seen the existing board and the load it serves.
- Emergency lighting, data cabling and extra circuits on the same visit are priced on their own.
- Fixed wire testing is priced on the number of boards and circuits, not by the hour.
- Emergency lighting is priced per light, and the three hour test is priced separately.
- Repairs are priced item by item off the report, so you choose what to do and when.
- Work outside your trading hours costs a different rate, and I tell you what it is before I set off.
- Quotes are free, rescheduling is free, and there is no callout fee.

Will the power be off all day?+
The supply has to be isolated while we swap the board. Many small office boards are done in a few hours. A warehouse or dockside board can take longer if there are more circuits.

Do you cover Southampton and the docks?+

Can you add three phase at the same time?+
If the incoming supply already supports it, we can fit a three phase board as part of the upgrade. A new three phase supply is a separate job, starting from £1,400.
