PAT testing in Eastleigh

Who needs PAT testing

Arrival and the appliance list
We sign in, walk the rooms or bays you have opened, and check the list of kettles, tools, IT kit and leads against what is actually on the floor.

Testing each item
We inspect the plug and flex, run the tests the appliance needs, and mark a pass or fail before we move to the next one.

Report at the end
We leave a written PAT register for the items tested, note any fails, and set the next test date on the paperwork where the use of the kit makes that clear.

The starting price of £95 buys a PAT visit for a small set of portable appliances, with a written report at the end. Bigger offices, warehouses and depots are quoted in writing first.

- The PAT result sits on the appliance, not on the building wiring. A fail on a kettle or drill does not stand in for an EICR on the installation.

- The written register lists the items we tested, the pass or fail, and the location on site, so it lines up with the list you asked us to work through.
- The next date
- Where the use of the kit is clear, the report carries the next PAT date so you can book the following visit before the marks age out.
Where the rules come from
HSE and the Electricity at Work Regulations set how workplaces look after portable electrical equipment. We test against that duty, not against a website checklist.

What happens if an appliance fails?+
We mark it as a fail and note it on the report. Repair, a new plug or a replacement lead is extra work. We can retest the item once it is safe to plug in again.
