What remedial work actually involves
A condition report lists what it finds as codes, and this work is simply clearing those codes one by one. I read the report through, tell you what each line means in plain English, and price the items separately so you can spread them if you want to.
Clearing FI items
Further investigation codes occur when circuits cannot be fully checked during testing. This includes tracing unidentified main cables in shared buildings along Bournemouth Road in Chandler's Ford.
Updating schedules and labelling

Do I have to rectify C3 codes to get a satisfactory EICR?+
No. C3 codes are recommendations for improvement rather than dangerous defects. As David McInnes, I advise addressing C1, C2, and FI items first, as those are the codes that cause an EICR to be unsatisfactory.
Can remedial work be completed without shutting down my whole business?+
In most cases, yes. I isolate individual circuits wherever possible so that other parts of your premises in Eastleigh or Segensworth remain operational while repairs take place.
How long do I have to complete EICR remedial work?+
Commercial premises must address dangerous conditions quickly. Standard guidance requires C1 and C2 codes to be resolved within 28 days or as specified on the inspection document.
