We require a copy of the existing electrical installation condition report, specifically the observation sheets showing the C1, C2, and C3 codes, together with the distribution board schedule and circuit charts.
Do all observation codes need to be repaired?
C1 and C2 codes must be rectified for an installation to achieve satisfactory status. C3 codes are recommendations for improvement that do not prevent a compliant assessment, though they can be repaired during the same attendance if requested.
Can remedial works be carried out outside normal working hours?
Yes. Work outside standard trading hours is available to avoid power interruptions during trading. An out-of-hours rate applies, and this is confirmed before work begins.
Does clearing the codes result in a brand new EICR?
No. The remedial attendance provides an electrical minor works certificate or installation certificate verifying the specific repairs and retests. These certificates sit alongside the original EICR to show compliance until the next full inspection is due.
