No. In most cases, we isolate only the specific circuit exhibiting the fault directly at the distribution board. Adjacent ways supplying lighting, desktop computers, cold storage and till terminals remain powered while testing is carried out on the isolated run.
What happens if a damaged cable cannot be repaired during the visit?
If the cable requires extensive containment replacement or specialist switchgear beyond standard van stock, we make the circuit completely safe, leave the rest of the board live, and provide an itemised written quotation for the required replacement parts.
Do you provide electrical documentation after finding the fault?
Yes. Every visit includes a clear written summary detailing the root cause discovered, the exact circuit tested and the replacement items fitted. Where the completed repair requires statutory notification, NICEIC certification is issued.
Can testing be carried out outside our operational trading hours?
Yes. Visits can be scheduled outside trading hours to avoid interrupting customer trade or heavy production lines. Work arranged outside standard daytime hours is billed at a different rate, which is confirmed before attendance.
