Can you test while the warehouse is still working?+
For most circuits, yes. Isolation is planned around loading, refrigeration and office hours so only the ways under test go quiet. Boards and submains that cannot be tested live do need a full shutdown, and that is said in the quote rather than discovered on the morning. Where the only workable window is a night shift, the out of hours rate applies and the site is told beforehand.
What if the report finds faults?+
Anything dangerous is made safe on the day before we leave the building. Other coded items stay on the report with their location, and repairs are charged at £65 an hour if you want the company to return and put them right. You are equally free to take that list to your own contractor, and it is written clearly enough that they can work from it.
