- Termination, numbering and verificationCables are terminated onto patch panels in the cabinet and modular faceplates at the work positions. Each port is assigned an identification number that directly corresponds with the patch panel numbering scheme.
- Testing, certification and handoverEvery individual run is tested using calibration equipment to verify continuity, wire mapping and bandwidth capability. We provide written test sheets showing passing results for every installed link before leaving the workplace clean and tidy.

Cat6 is suitable for networks running up to 1 Gigabit per second over standard lengths and 10 Gigabits over shorter runs. Cat6A features higher shielding and thicker insulation, supporting 10 Gigabits per second across runs up to 100 metres with reduced crosstalk, making it ideal for high-bandwidth business operations.
Do you test every installed data run?
Yes. Every installed cable run is certified using digital testing equipment to verify correct pin configurations, continuity and signal performance. A printed or digital test sheet detailing the performance of each numbered port is provided at completion.
Can extra data points be added to our existing network cabinet?
Extra outlets can be added if your existing cabinet has available rack unit space and the surrounding cable containment can accommodate additional lines. We assess your cabinet during the quotation stage to confirm whether new patch panels will fit.
Can data cabling installation take place outside our normal business hours?
Yes. We offer installation outside standard trading hours to avoid disrupting your daily operations or staff at their desks. Out-of-hours work is priced at a separate rate, which is clearly confirmed before any booking is made.
Are network switches and broadband routers included in the installation?
Our structured cabling installation provides the passive infrastructure, which includes the wall plates, patch panels, containment and copper cabling. Active networking hardware like routers, managed switches and firewalls are typically configured by your internal IT team or internet provider, though we can fit patch leads directly into your supplied hardware.
